At CISS, we believe that students benefit most when they choose a summer learning experience that best suits their personality and goals. For international students interested in topics “beyond ESL”, our Special Interest Courses allow them to gain knowledge and skills in a subject area while practicing their English in a supportive environment. From leadership skills to preparation for university life and careers, these courses reflect the interests and passions of today’s youth and are designed to help prepare them for future success. These courses take place inside a larger programme, offering both the opportunity for focused study with a group of like-minded peers and the chance to be part of a large group of participants from around the world with a full schedule of activities and excursions.

International Young Leaders

The Global Leadership Programme provides youth with the essential foundations to become better international young leaders in an ever-changing world. In-class lessons are taught by expert staff with a focus on providing students with essential communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Future Entrepreneurs

Preparing students to make a difference!

Students 14-18 years of age come together and cultivate skills that empower them to think creatively and acquire the unique mindset of an entrepreneur. This exciting course aims to develop critical thinking, innovative decision-making, problem-solving, business skills, and teamwork ability. In their final presentations, students are challenged to present their ideas and explain their vision.

Academic and Career Prep

Be the author of your own future!

ACP is designed to help international high school students prepare for the coming challenges of post-secondary studies and professional life in a supportive and academically stimulating environment. Combining critical exercises in self-reflection with an exploration of the study and career options available to them, students come away from the programme with a better understanding of their own identities and life goals, and build solid strategies planning their future. Mindfulness sessions are incorporated throughout the course, giving students the tools needed to manage potential stress or anxiety that may come when faced with the challenges of pursuing a successful future.
