One-to-One Intensive, Toronto and Vancouver
The CISS One-to-One Intensive Programme offers you the full-immersion experience of living and learning in your teacher’s home. Choose your location from Canada's two major cities, your number of hours of study per week (15 or 20), and the focus goal for your studies. The choices are endless in your quest to improve your language skills.
This programme is customized for you. Upon arrival, you and your teacher determine the schedule for your studies. Whether you prefer to have lessons in the morning leaving your afternoons free for sightseeing, or you prefer to have lessons in the afternoon giving you a chance to relax in the morning, you can discuss the options with your teacher.
The One-to-One Intensive course is the ideal choice, if your goal is to focus mainly on English lessons. Outside of your lesson times, you will have plenty of opportunity to independently plan your own sightseeing or shopping activities. Your teacher is available to assist you and provide suggestions, but this is your chance to explore and experience the city for yourself. It's also the perfect way to put the English you have learned in your lessons to practical use!

Homestay
The benefit to this style of programme is that your homestay is both your home and your school. Your host is your friend, family, and teacher. The more you can tell us about yourself, the better we can match a family to suit your personality and needs. Once a family has been selected, you receive a profile prior to your arrival.
Your host family welcomes you into their home as part of their family. Your own bedroom is complete with bed, dresser, and closet. You also have access to a quiet study area, either in your room or in another part of the home. Three well-balanced and nutritious meals a day are included, and, when possible, are enjoyed with the family. The language spoken in the home ise English providing you with a complete immersion environment.
